It’s been a busy time here at ‘There and Back’.
With all of the operational planning in place, it’s been a matter of liaising with our good friends in the media and working on fund-raising to ensure that we do our utmost to raise funds for the RFDS.
Check out the final route and dates for ‘There and Back’ at www.thereandback.com.au Come out and see me and the trusty Jabiru J230D as we make our way around Australia; we’d love to say ‘G’day’.
In amongst the phone calls, emails and meetings, there was still time to visit the excellent Fleet Air Arm Museum at HMAS Albatross, Nowra NSW. It traces the history of naval aviation in Australia with a fantastic display of fixed and rotary wing aircraft. There is also a helicopter ‘simulator’…..for the kids. It’s a great day out and highly recommended.
Thanks again to all those who have donated already to the Royal Flying Doctor. Please visit http://www.mycause.com.au/mycause/raise_money/fundraise.php?id=4389 and give a ‘Dollar for the Doctor’. Every little bit helps this tremendous cause, so come on and chip in.
Thanks again and blue skies!
